Episode Highlights

There’s a lot of benefits to being on social media. But there’s also some downsides to it, both professionally, personally, mentally, emotionally. There is a platform for every business, but not all platforms are for every business.

Some social media platforms are primarily for awareness building. It’s more of the notion of just being present, being consistent with your presence. Social media should be part of a bigger strategy, not the end all, be all.

Don’t market just because your competition is marketing the exact same way. Think of something outside the box. With social media, ultimately, just add value. Have a plan in place and create content that is unique and different to you.

“If you’re going to give something away as a company, yeah, it’d be great to put it out on social media, but you should do it in real life, make it seem more obtainable and not a gimmick or what are you in this? What’s in it for you?”

“Experience the power of word-of-mouth marketing and stand out from the competition with creative promotions!”
